Who doesn't love tacos? A great fun assortment sure to please every palate. Although I live in Texas, you don't need to live here to love these tacos. I'm going to cook my way thro the book! My husband found so many tacos he wanted to have. Great specialty book w/ wonderful recipes. May I recommend tacos lunch & dinner & oh yum Mina's for breakfast! All the best from south of the border reinterpreted in Texas!-Lynda M.Breeze
Who doesn't love tacos? Fantastic stories about the chefs and their family businesses, and scrumptious taco recipes.-George C.
Great book on the meccas of endless taco trails in this great state of which I have traveled most of, seen/done things I choose to not remember, but still reign as a true native son. My grandfather ran for governor, I got kicked out of 5 of the best high schools in Texas, graduated on time w/honors, made quick haste to college, then rushed out to take in the S F Bay area of Haight/Asbury, the Zodiac Killer, and the Rolling Stones free concert at the Altamont Speedway. To say I've seen a thing or two would be inscrutable, undeniable, but a new copy of this book was lying around coffee table askew at a dinner party last night. I was an early arriver as I set a proper dinner table for roasted, young, free range goose, with apropos fixings as we call them down here. I schemed and scoured that Tacos book until I ordered 4 for Xmas presents today. It it thorough in all ways, plus downright cute and charming. High adventure awaits the surly couples/batches of ner' do-wells whom embark on these discoveries/already familiars. It's high in all high points, but noticeably skirts Waco and the panhandle where in Lubbock and Amarillo you start to get some of those northern New Mexico influences. No matter. To anyone, sojourn coming or going, would do well to arm themselves teeth to bone with a best food ally under 20 singles laid out like a deck of cards, splayed asunder like some great green salsa awaiting your kiss of kindness/approval. This world as presented is endless.-Russel S.
