Overall the cookbook is a gem, with great anecdotes and wonderful recipes. I have struggled with macarons before, with hollow shells and no feet, and her step by step, picture driven process helped me produce the best ones I have ever made. Her flavor combinations are amazing, I have made the brownies, salted caramel, etc. I am going to try her brioche donuts next, and I am so excited. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone more comfortable with baking that would like to try new techniques and flavors, and her humor and personality sprinkled through the book just lends a charming touch.-Lulu Alam
Bernadette Gee is a woman who is honest in her speech and cooking. The recipes are really good and they work. Made the brioche scrolls, chocolate cake, and lemon loaf and am really happy with the results. Highly recommend this cookbook for the hilarious writing, useful baking tips, and well-crafted recipes.-Gabriel H. 
I have followed Bets & Magnolia Kitchen on Instagram for years, so I was pretty excited to get my hands on this. Lovely recipes! If you are a seasoned baker, or have some knowledge, you might question some of the recipes & methods. But don’t (trust me), roll with it because my goodness do they work. The brioche dough has become my favourite brioche recipe. Only criticism is that sometimes it just says ‘flour’, some ingredients could have the specific type.-Niamh
